Another day, another post. I'm still getting used to the code behind all this, especially since I'm used to dealing with the coded language of myspace.com. I'll figure it yet .

I don't know about you, but I absolutely love, LOVE Adult Swim!
They feature grown-up or more mature cartoons, that are geared towards grown-ups or the uhh, mostly more mature-aged audience. Yeah basically little Billy shouldn't be watching this shit, or else he'll want to bulid his own Meth Lab or drink a 40 and shoot things! Not that is a particularly bad thing, but, yeah and this is why I don't have kids right now.
Anyways every sunday I make sure that I tape shows from 10:30-2:00am, that way I'm guarendamnteed to see some really funny shit!
These are the shows I most look forwards to and you should watch them as well:

1). Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

This show comes on at 10:30pm. It's weird, contains a talking shake, box of fries, and the aptly named Meatwad, and their human neighnbor, Carl.
All you really need to know is that these three get involved in funny-ass, screwed-up situations. You'll learn new words to impress your friends, and never look a McDonalds menu the same way again.

2). Squidbillies.

This caption should really be enough as far as explaining this series goes, and damn is it really as funny as it looks! I truly learned new words such as "Stealitization" and other messed up stuff.

I highly advise watching this if you're in the mood to say "I knew the south was made up of dumb hicks!"
Squidbillies comes on around 12:00am.

3). Frisky Dingo.

If you're looking for a funny and refreshing take on superheroes, and looking to laugh at the absurdity of the whole concept, then you should watch this show. It's pretty much a National Lapoon on superheroes and villains, and their relationship to each other in general, and making for some truly entertaining viewing.
Look for this little gem around 12:30am.

And finally....

4). The Venture Brothers.
Photobucket - Video and Image HostingNot only does this funny show parody the whole Johhny Quest genre, but also Marvel and DC comic characters. Look for who gets pariodied in each new episode. Funny stuff I swear.
Each new show starts around 1:00am.

Also check out these funny ass shows:
Robot Chicken and Family Guy.
And do go and check out adultswim.com, where you'll find games, downloads, and bunches of free shit! Especially free downloadable episodes of all these shows and more. I promise you won't regret it.

And now for the image of the day courtesy of Robot Chicken:

This is the first ever-get-it-while-it's-hot edition of DB's Universe!
Along the way, I hope to enlighten and corrurpt as many people as possible. Yeah it's gonna be that damn good! A quick intro on me I love Comics, especially DC and Marvel comic characters, so don;t be surprised if that topic is brought up alot. I'm also morbid, and enjoy black humor. Just putting that out there. I'm also a big fan of classic rock and all things Pink Floyd, Beatles, Led Zepplin, and the like. I bring up alot of different topics, so don't worry about having to read about the same shit all the time.
Anyways here's a little food for thought; I was watching ESPN's The Top Five Reasons You Can't Blame..... Sunday afternoon, and I loved it! Now I'm not a really a big fan of sports. I know that may come as a big surprise to many out there, especially since loving and appreciating sports is supposed to be in all men's dna, but not mine. I used to watch it when I was little in the 80's, and occasionaly I check on the teams I used to root for back then every now and again, but for the most part I could care less. Hey I prefer Pro-Wrestling over those boring spectacles, so there! Anyways I watched the marathon the the ESPN Classic channel was showing, and I actually enjoyed watching it! The basic premise of the show for those not in the know about it is that it showcases a much-debated sports topic like why you can't blame Mike Tyson for losing to Buster Douglas or why you can't blame Kobe Bryant for the breakup of the Lakers. Stuff like that, while about sports, is facinating to me. I'm a big fan of History, especially history behind any subject I take a fancy to, so this show really appeals to me. So I started thinking why isn't there a Top Five Reasons You Can't Blame... blog or segment for comic characters? So I'll personally start one and see how it goes from there. Suggestions and feedback are more than welcome.

I love how comic book writers used to play "Let's see how far we can push the comic code." And no she's not talking about my dong!
