Happy New Year Bitches!!!!

A brief update kids!

I do continue to read this blog and comments section, so don't worry I'm still around....you know like a bad fart in an elevator.

I think I might try posting new skits by doing the following:

I'll post the pics, and write the captions underneath to go along with the pic, since I still can't use mspaint.

By doing this, (the skits)it'll essentially become a prose piece, you know like famous writers and Grant Morrison have done in the past. Idk know how it'll all work, or even if it will, but I have try something since not posting a new blog is killing me(well not really, but it's damn frustrating!)

So bar with me as I go medievil in this new year.

One of my very favorite things about Winter is outerwear! Coats and jackets have always been my vice and I probably have too many. When I'm in a coat I don't have to worry about what I have on so much. I live in sweaters and jeans in the colder part of the year.  All you need to do is throw on a great coat, a warm scarf, cute boots and done! No need to need to worry if you're feeling a bit chunky. Who could tell under all the layers? Pass the scones!

Lately here in Northern California, it's been unusually warm and sunny. The Winter sun has been lovely and I have been trying to take walks.  It is still getting chilly when the sun goes down though. I just have to be warm and it's getting worse as I get older. If I have to wear a coat resembling a sleeping bag I will! I see now how all those seniors start heading to Arizona..

Me again, a little better. After a holiday carriage ride in our town.  It was cold!

 After a few weeks home with the kids and Christmas vacation, I find myself reaching for the same sweats and jeans day after day. My style quotient is like zero right now and I need to get my fashion mojo back. Does anyone else feel this way? Here's some inspiration to help you out of the cold weather wardrobe blahs.

New Year's Day

I'm sitting on the couch here by the fire eating homemade walnut cinnamon rolls. Not a very healthy jump into the new year, but that's how I'm rolling today. I had two glasses of champagne and a lot of water last night and for that reason was able to get up by 7 today and am feeling good! I also ate more apples than cheese last night and that helped too.

A New Year's Day a few years ago. Skipping stones.

Today we are heading out for a New Year's Day beach walk and picnic. It's become kind of a tradition for our family. We love the beach in Winter. I like starting the year out with my three men in this way. We get some quality time together away from all our devices and get to appreciate more fully the beauty of this planet. Hopefully, we'll get to see a few beautiful birds too.
